In 1991, God opened a door
of opportunity for ministry on the mission field in Jerusalem, Israel
for the Bajalias. They taught in a private Christian School for
Palestinian children for 2 years before going into Ramallah to begin a
work there. In 1994, the Bajalias moved into the West Bank village of
Ramallah and began visiting homes and businesses. In February 1995, they
began services in their living room with 3 people in attendance. By
November that year, the body grew to 35 at which time, the Lord provided
them with a building. In 1996, the Bajalias pioneered a kindergarten,
with children 3, 4 and 5 years of age. The Lord granted great favor and
good success by bringing key people to enroll their children, such as
Yassar Arafat’s pilot. This pilot is also a captain in the Palestinian
Authority. He was willing to help in establishing both the school and
church as a non-profit organization.
In 1991, the Bajalias were
also asked by 2 born-again Israelis to begin a Bible study in their
home. The Bajalias taught this home Messianic group for 5 years and
later recruited an Ethiopian Messianic Jew to take over. This work has
already branched into 2 other groups in Jerusalem.
They are presently involved
in church planting throughout the West Bank and Ramallah.
